The DELF B2 and DALF at a glance

The DELF and DALF are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. They are aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and certify proficiency in French as a foreign language.

These certificates are recognised worldwide and are valid for life.

The DELF B2 and DALF can enhance a CV and make it easier to secure a job in a company where French is the working language. The DELF B2 - and increasingly the DALF C1 - also provide access to Swiss, European or French-speaking universities, as well as certain grandes écoles (Similar to Oxbridge or Ivy League).

💡Le saviez-vous : In Switzerland, if you already have a DELF certificate attesting to the language level required for naturalisation or for the permit you are seeking, you do not need to take the fide test. These language certificates are, in fact, recognised by the State Secretariat for Migration.
