Preparation for high-stakes French exams

Fenêtre francophone is an institute specialising in preparing candidates for high-stakes French language exams, both administrative and academic : FIDE, DELF/DALF and Swiss Maturité.
These examinations represent decisive moments in the process of national, socio-professional or academic integration. They are key milestones, both individual and collective.
An exam-oriented approach and life journey
Our courses are designed to accompany these stages with method, clarity and confidence. They focus on :
- the specific methodology of each exam,
- targeted, structured and reassuring preparation,
- a thorough understanding of institutional and academic expectations.
Here, language learning is inseparable from the the culture of the examination : Understanding what is being assessed, how and why.
This understanding is essential for both FIDE and DELF/DALF examinations and for Swiss Maturité examinations, such as essays and literary analysis, where the ability to problematise, argue and structure thinking is assessed.
Although Fenêtre francophone focuses on high-stakes administrative and academic training, the objective is never limited to the acquisition of functional language skills : it also involves enabling access to a reflective and nuanced command of the language.
Our vision of language: connection, recognition and diversity
Language is much more than a communication tool. It is a lever for social recognition, links and participation in the world.
Linguistic plurality is to our societies what biodiversity is to our ecosystem : it allows everyone to think, name the world and express themselves in their own way.
This formulation is part of a humanist reflection on cultural diversity : language allows everyone to inhabit the world with their own words, while accessing those of others.
In a context of globalisation and increased mobility, language might seem secondary. Yet, it remains central : it positions the individual in the social space, enables them to understand cultural nuances, to speak out and to feel legitimate.
In a context of migration in particular, expressing oneself in a national language - rather though a lingua franca or a smartphone - profoundly transforms one's relationship with others. Communication becomes direct, embodied and socially situated.
Fenêtre francophone therefore considers language not only as a response to administrative or academic requirements, but as a vehicle for interaction, mutual understanding and social diversity.
The founder
Stéphanie Viala
Words shape our lives, and vice versa : they impact our relationships and are themselves transformed by them.

This premise has guided my research in migration sociology, which focuses on the role of words in shaping individual trajectories and in our relationship with otherness. Words are never neutral : they define our place - which is always shifting - in society.
For more than fifteen years, I have been teaching French in Switzerland and internationally in various institutions : Alliance Française, secondary schools, universities.
In addition to language teaching, my work aims to support each individual in mastering the linguistic, cultural and discursive nuances necessary for the success of their migration or academic projects.
My approach combines human sensitivity, methodological rigour and linguistic expertise, with a clear objective : make language a lever, not an obstacle, in your life journey.
