Understanding the structure, expectations and assessment criteria of the test
Description and objective
This course provides a detailed understanding of the FIDE test, focusing on its structure, how the different sections are conducted, and the skills actually assessed at each stage.
The main resource is the sample version of the fide test, which is used as a methodological analysis tool throughout the course.
By the end of this course, you will have :
- a precise understanding of how the test is conducted
- be able to read instructions correctly and effectively
- a clear understanding of the assessment criteria
- an overview of the expectations for each activity and each module in the «speaking and understanding» and «reading and writing» sections.
The course places you in a simulated situation, replicating the conditions of the actual test, to enable you to assess your level and identify areas that need to improvement before the official assessment.
Important !
This course is recommended in light of the shortcomings identified in the FIDE test, not because of an insufficient level of language proficiency, but due to a lack of understanding of the objectives of an activity or module.
We therefore work on methodological and strategic skills, aiming to :
- understand instructions precisely
- identify the expectations specific to each task
- use linguistic knowledge in a targeted and relevant manner
Target audience and prerequisites
Anyone who registers for the FIDE test to obtain a Category C driving licence, an early Category C licence or citizenship.
This course assumes that you have already acquired the language and communication skills necessary to take the test.
