1. Scope

These terms and conditions govern registration, participation and payment for the private and group lessons offered by Fenêtre francophone: tailor-made courses, the «Mock Exam» package, and the «Artwork Module» and «Essay Module» packages for independent candidates. By registering, you agree to these terms and conditions in full.

2. Registration and confirmation

Registration is confirmed by sending a formal quote via email, once the course choice and details have been agreed with the client.

Registration is only confirmed once full payment or the first instalment has been received, depending on the course chosen.

The dates and times of private and group lessons are agreed upon by mutual consent, subject to the availability of both the client and Fenêtre francophone.

3. Payment

Tailor-made course

  • Individual lessons – 60 minutes, private or group session – : payment must be made at least 24 hours before the session
  • 10-session package : full payment must be made at least 24 hours before the first session
  • 20-lesson package : Full payment must be made 24 hours before the first session or, alternatively, payment in two instalments: 50% before the first session and 50% before the eleventh session. Each payment must be received by Fenêtre francophone at least 24 hours before the start of the session in question.

«Mock exam» & «essay module» packs»

  • Full payment must be made at least 24 hours before the (first) session/correction

«Artwork Module» Pack»

  • Study of a single work :
    • For a package of up to 10 hours: full payment must be made at least 24 hours before the first session.
    • For any package exceeding 10 hours: payment can be made in two equal instalments: 50% upon booking and 50% halfway through the package.
  • Analysis of several works :
    • As part of a programme covering several works from the official syllabus, Fenêtre francophone draws up a bespoke proposal based on the number of works, the recommended number of hours and the client’s objectives.
    • The payment terms are the same as those applicable to the «project module» package exceeding 10 hours, unless otherwise specified in the formal quotation.
  • Complete teaching pack : may be subject to an additional charge, as specified in advance in the formal quotation.

Reading and detailed feedback on an essay or a written commentary

  • Payment upon receipt of the document from the customer via email or in person

Access to the course (login link) and any course materials will only be granted once full payment has been received.

Full payment for the course is required before it starts ; otherwise, the registration can not be maintained.

Payment is made by TWINT or bank transfer. Payment details and the invoice are sent with the formal offer by e-mail.

4. Absences, postponements and forfeits

Any session may be rescheduled free of charge provided the request is made by email at least 24 hours in advance.

In the event of a late cancellation (less than 24 hours before the session) or a no-show, the session will be charged in full and no refund will be given, except in cases of duly justified force majeure.

Validity of season tickets

  • 10 hours: valid for 3 months
  • 8 pm: valid for 6 months

The package begins from the first hour of lessons. Any hours not used within the specified period are forfeited, except in cases of force majeure that are duly justified.

5. Force majeure

In the event of force majeure duly justified by an official document (illness, accident, unforeseeable event), Fenêtre francophone may offer, on a case-by-case basis, a postponement, a credit or a partial refund calculated in proportion to the hours not attended by the client, according to the terms agreed with them. In the event of a refund, a flat-rate administrative fee of CHF 40.- will be deducted from the amount refunded.

6. Technical responsibility

The client is responsible for the functioning of their computer equipment and Internet connection. If the course cannot be attended for these reasons, no refund is possible.

7. Cancellation or postponement of a class by Fenêtre francophone

If a package or a class is cancelled for reasons attributable to Fenêtre francophone, the customer is entitled, at their discretion, to a pro-rata refund for the hours not delivered or to reschedule the class, subject to their availability.

8. Teaching materials and intellectual property

Course materials are provided in digital format for both online and face-to-face courses.

They are strictly for personal use only. Any reproduction, distribution or transmission to third parties, even in part, is prohibited without prior written permission.

9. Data Protection (Swiss Data Protection Act)

The customer’s personal data (name, email and postal address, telephone number) is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties, in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act.

10. Educational clause and no guarantee of results

Fenêtre francophone offers educational and methodological support based on its linguistic and academic expertise.

The candidate’s own work (reading the texts, writing essays, and preparing independently) remains essential. Fenêtre francophone is by no means a substitute for the student’s own work.

Success in the exams depends solely on the candidate’s performance on the day of the test. Fenêtre francophone cannot be held responsible in the event of failure.

11. Acceptance

Participation in a course implies unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are deemed to have been read and accepted prior to registration.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall be brought before the courts of the canton of Valais, based in Sion.
